Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 is a unified communications client, enhanced with the high quality VoIP platform on Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and equipped to help users achieve new levels of productivity. Users can initiate conversations, conduct live video or audio meetings and share desktop applications with Web-connected colleagues worldwide.

The Office Communicator 2007 R2 contains new collaboration and communication capabilities that can now be accessed from your desktop PC, a public Internet kiosk using Communicator Web Access or a Microsoft Windows Mobile® device using Office Communicator Mobile, helping users operate with more mobility and productivity than ever before.

New capabilities include:

  • With one click share your desktop with colleagues, and share and edit documents in real time
  • Invite customer and partners via the web to a sharing session hosted by you
  • Forward calls to your team or have a delegate answer calls on your behalf
  • Schedule an audio call through Outlook and manage the call through the Communicator conversation window
  • Have a video conversation with colleagues in high resolution
