Requirements for Customizing Microsoft Surface External Enclosures |
These requirements describe how you can customize the exterior of your Microsoft Surface unit with a custom enclosure.
Microsoft Surface is designed in a revolutionary horizontal table-like form that enables users to interact with the display from any point around the unit by using real-world objects and hand-and-finger motions instead of keyboards or mice. You can customize a Microsoft Surface unit by designing an external enclosure that cohesively integrates the unit into your environment and at the same time entices users to interact with it. The custom enclosure should be designed to fit around the units existing metal or acrylic panels while still allowing complete access for servicing. If you choose to customize the exterior of your Microsoft Surface unit with a custom enclosure, this document provides you with important requirements and check-lists that we recommend you follow to guide your design process.
