With the Compare Project Versions add-in for Microsoft Project 2000, you can compare two versions of the same project file and display the resulting information in a detailed, customized report.
With the Compare Project Versions add-in for Microsoft Project 2000,
you can compare two versions of the same project file and display the
resulting information in a detailed, customized report. This add-in allows
you to review differences between a current version and an earlier
version, or to contrast two possible projections.
NOTE: This Compare Project Versions add-in is for US English only. However, the add-in is available in multiple languages. Please refer to the Office Worldwide page to obtain the add-in for your specific country.

To install this download

- Download the file from this page by clicking the Download link above and following the instructions in the dialog boxes.
- Double-click the Compprj.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Instructions for use:
- Start Microsoft Project 2000.
If you receive a Server Busy warning, click Switch To.
A new toolbar, named Compare Project Versions, is displayed in Project. If you do not see the new toolbar, click the Views menu, point to Toolbars and then click Compare Project Versions. - Open the project you want to compare with an earlier version of the project.
- Click the Compare Project Versions button on the Compare Project Versions toolbar.
- Enter the information you want in the Compare Project Versions dialog box, and then choose OK.
To remove this download:
- Quit Microsoft Project if it is running.
- On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the Install/Uninstall list, select Microsoft Project 2000 Compare Project Versions Utility, and then click Add/Remove.
- Confirm that you are certain you want to uninstall this software by clicking Yes.
- Start Microsoft Project 2000.
- On the Views menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
- On the Toolbars tab, select Compare Project Versions in the list of toolbars.
- Click Delete, and then click OK to delete the toolbar.
