The Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server provides native connectivity from Windows, & Linux to Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure SQL Database.
Microsoft ODBC Driver 17.3 (Preview) for SQL Server is a single dynamic-link library (DLL) containing run-time support for applications using native-code APIs to connect to Microsoft SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2014, SQL Server 2016, SQL Server 2017, SQL Server 2019 (Preview), Analytics Platform System, Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse. Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server should be used to create new applications or enhance existing applications that need to take advantage of newer SQL Server features. This redistributable installer for Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server installs the client components needed during run time to take advantage of newer SQL Server features, and optionally installs the header files needed to develop an application that uses the ODBC API.

Installation Instructions
For Windows installations, download the appropriate file by clicking one of the links below, then run the downloaded file to install that package.
For Linux installations, download the appropriate msodbcsql17 and mssql-tools packages for your distribution and install them in that order using standard package manager commands.
