Installation Instructions

  • You need to download and configure the Power BI Desktop file named “Power BI Report Template for Connected Field Service for Microsoft Dynamics 365” from the Microsoft Download Center:1. Download the Power BI designer file (PBIX) from the Microsoft Download Center.2. Enter your Azure SQL database credentials for Power BI Desktop, and then sign in to Power BI for Office 365. 3. Update the query to point it to your Azure SQL DB data store.4. Publish the report to your Power BI for Office 365 account.5. Pin the tile to your Power BI dashboard.6. Share it with Dynamics 365 users that have Power BI subscriptions (Power BI Pro SKU is required).7. Either on an asset, IoT Device, or IoT Alert forms, configure the Power BI chart by clicking the Power BI section on the screen and choosing the dashboard and tile that you want to use.Note: Connected Device Reading shows up only for registered devices.
