This tool upgrades the Microsoft Active Directory schema on schema master domain controllers, which is required to install Windows Essential Business Server 2008.

• The Schema Upgrade Tool shipped with Microsoft Windows Essential Business Server 2008 is not compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2. This tool upgrades the Microsoft Active Directory schema on schema master domain controllers, which may be required to install Windows Essential Business Server 2008. This download contains a new version of the tool that is compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2. You may need to use this version of the Schema Upgrade Tool if your existing domain has a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controller. Please make sure you install the update released with KB977193 and follow the WEBS 2008 Management Server Installation Wizard.
