The EMET 5.5 and EMET 5.51 registry has been refactored in order to make it easier to manage EMET settings via Group Policy. To convert settings from previous versions of EMET (including EMET 5.5 Beta) to EMET 5.5 and EMET 5.51, use the provided converter.

    Installation Instructions

    To convert settings from previous versions of EMET (including EMET 5.5 Beta), you must save registry values in a file then imported back after you install EMET 5.5 or EMET 5.51. Here are the steps to follow:1. Export settings, with elevated PowerShell, run the following command:.\Migrate-EmetSettings.ps1 -RegFile .\NewEmetSettings.reg -MissingCertCsv .\MissingCerts.csv
    2. Uninstall former version of EMET.
    3. Install EMET 5.5. When asked to choose between "Use recommended settings” and “Configure manually later", chose option “Configure manually later".
    4. Import settings, with elevated PowerShell, run the following command:reg.exe import .\NewEmetSettings.reg
