Legacy Update: Get back online, activate, and install updates on your legacy Windows PC

This download includes an update of the Microsoft.SharePoint.xml file used to produce IntelliSense information about the Windows SharePoint Services managed object model within the context of the Visual Studio .NET integrated development environment.

Note   By default, this file is installed to the following path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\60\ISAPI. This installation overwrites the placeholder file originally installed with the product. You must put this XML file in the same directory as Microsoft.SharePoint.dll for IntelliSense to function. If you have installed Windows SharePoint Services to a different drive, specify the path to that drive for the installation.

Installing this download provides IntelliSense information for the following namespaces:

• Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer

This update includes new information about types and members that have been added for advanced extranet support and for migrating user records between domain accounts in Windows SharePoint Services Service Pack 2.

1. Download the file by clicking the Download link (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.
2. Double-click the WSS IntelliSense.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

To remove the download file itself, delete the file WSS IntelliSense.exe.

To remove the installed file, delete the following from your installation directory:

• Microsoft.SharePoint.xml
