The Microsoft System Center Network Device Monitoring Library Management Pack provides System Center Essentials 2007 with the ability to identify and monitor network devices such as routers and switches. This update resolves an issue where Essentials is unable to monitor network devices that report an interface speed greater than 2147483647. Refer to KB960569 for more information. Note: It is necessary to delete the existing Network Device Monitoring Library Management Pack before importing this updated version.

1. Click on the Download button towards the top of this page
2. Save the Management Pack MSI to the System Center Essentials Server
3. On the System Center Essentials Server, double click on the Management Pack MSI and follow the instructions to extract the Management Pack files
4. Note the location the Management Pack files are extracted to

Prior to installing the new Management Pack you must delete the existing Management Pack. You can delete the existing management pack using the Microsoft System Center Essentials console and by following these steps:

1. Open the System Center Essentials Console
2. Navigate to the Administration Space
3. Click on the Management Packs node
4. Scroll down and select the Network Device Monitoring Library Management Pack
5. Click the Delete action from the Actions pane

You can import this management pack using the Microsoft System Center Essentials console and by following these steps:

1. Open the System Center Essentials Console
2. Navigate to the Administration Space
3. Click on the Import Management Packs action
4. Select the Management Pack from the location it was extracted to
5. Follow the instructions until you have finished importing the management pack
