The Perceptive Pixel Firmware Update utility ensures that you have the latest firmware for your Perceptive Pixel touch device and each associated Perceptive Pixel active stylus.

• The latest Perceptive Pixel firmware update improves on several aspects of the Perceptive Pixel experience. Firmware updates include:
  
  • Updated the pairing procedure for the stylus; holding both of the stylus buttons down while the stylus is near the screen will no longer initiate pairing. Instead, while depressing both barrel buttons, the stylus tip should be pressed against a surface other than the display (such as a table) while the stylus is greater than 6" away from the screen. The LED will then indicate pairing has begun. This change improves the pen experience by making it less likely that a user would accidentally put the stylus into pairing mode during use.
  • Changed some stylus communication settings to improve inking performance when the stylus is experiencing communication failures, such as external interference.
  • Improved pairing speed and visual feedback for the Stylus. The stylus will now pair more quickly and the LED blinks more frequently to communicate pairing progress to the user. While pairing, a blue LED indicates that the stylus is searching for a display, a magenta LED indicates that the stylus has found a display and is initiating communication and a green LED means that the stylus has successfully paired. The colors may cycle a few times if the pairing is happening in an area with multiple devices.
  • Addressed a critical issue in firmware version 1244 that could impact pen operation after a device power cycle.

  1. Make sure that you are running the latest Perceptive Pixel Touch Driver, available here: Perceptive Pixel Touch Driver
  2. Download and install the Perceptive Pixel firmware update utility by clicking the Download button above.
  3. If your browser prompts you to Save or Run the file, click Run to start the update immediately or click Save to copy the download to your computer for update at a later time.
  4. When the updater launches, follow the instructions on the screen to update your Perceptive Pixel device and any associated stylus with the latest firmware.
