The PerformancePoint Server 2007 Application Database Pre-Service Pack 2 Update resolves an issue that prevents PerformancePoint Server 2007 SP2 from updating a Planning server that has Post-Service Pack 1 hotfixes with version number 3.0.3999.1 or greater installed. If you have applied a PerformancePoint Server 2007 hotfix with version number 3.0.3999.1 or higher, which includes the PerformancePoint Server SP2 beta release, then you must install this Update before you install PerformancePoint Server 2007 SP2. This Update applies to Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 SP2 (32-bit) and Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 SP2 (64-bit).

Installation Instructions
The AppDBpreSP2Update command script takes two paramaters: • SqlServerName: The name of the SQL Server that hosts the Application Database. • ApplicationDBName: The Planning Application Database name that resides on the SQL Server. At a command prompt, you would type the following command for each Application Database on the Planning server and then press ENTER: AppDBpreSP2Update SqlServerName ApplicationDBName
