The Microsoft Integration Runtime is a customer managed data integration infrastructure used by Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics to provide data integration capabilities across different network environments.

The integration runtime is capable of moving data in and out of data stores within private network, dispatching activities against compute service within private network. You can install a self-hosted integration runtime on an on-premises machine or a virtual machine inside a private network.
Note: An Integration Runtime instance can be registered with an instance of Azure Data Factory, or an instance of Azure Synapse Analytics. For Microsoft Purview, please download Microsoft Purview Integration Runtime.

          Installation Instructions

          Download and run the IntergrationRuntime.msi (64-bit) to install the Integration Runtime on your computer. You may also save IntegrationRuntime.msi to your local disk to install later.
