Legacy Update: Get back online, activate, and install updates on your legacy Windows PC

This update contains a set of bug fixes to the System Center 2012 Service Manager SP1 release. It should be applied to all Service Manager 2012 SP1 server installation. There are two executable files available:

These executable contain the cumulative update package and be applied to all Service Manager 2012 SP1 server installation.

Bug fixes included in this update:

1. If the amount of “Manual Activities” displayed in Service Manager Portal exceeds a certain limit, page load times out and does not render properly resulting in a blank page
2. Improper cleanup of custom related type causes grooming on the EntityChangeLog table to stall causing the table to grow substantially
3. Service Requests complete unexpectedly due to race condition between workflows
4. Console crashes when double clicking parent incident link on an extended incident class
5. PowerShell tasks created via the authoring tool don't run due to incorrect reference to certain assemblies.
6. Exchange MP gets stuck in pending association post MP Sync Job

System Center 2012 SP1 Service Manager

To install this cumulative update, follow these steps:

1. Exit all Service Manager-related applications before you apply this cumulative update. For example, exit the Service Manager Console, the Self-Service Portal links, and the authoring tool.
2. Download the cumulative update to a target folder.
   Note This cumulative update contains both the x86 version and the x64 version. Download the appropriate version for your system.
3. Open the target folder
   Right-click the SCSM2012_CU_KB2802159_AMD64_7.5.2905.125.exe file or the SCSM2012_CU_KB2802159_i386_7.5.2905.125.exe file, and then click Run as administrator
4. Accept the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then follow the steps in the installation wizard.

How to verify a successful installation of this cumulative update

• In Control Panel, open Programs and Features.
• Click View installed updates.
• The following item is listed:
  Hotfix for Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM2012_CU_KB2802159)
