Lync Server 2013 Whiteboard Archiving Viewer |
This download includes the Lync Server 2013 Whiteboard Viewer tool. You can use this tool to convert Lync Server 2013 whiteboard content archived by Lync Server 2013 Web Conferencing Service, into a viewable format.
In Lync Server 2013, the whiteboard(s) used during the meetings is archived as an XML file into the archiving store (file share if using database or Microsoft Exchange 2013). You can use this tool to convert Lync Server 2013 whiteboard content archived by Lync Server 2013 Web Conferencing service, into an HTML5 format, so you can view the whiteboard in a supported browser.

System Requirements
Operating Systems: Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8
You can install the Whiteboard Viewer tool on domain-joined Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2008 R2. You do not need to run the tool on the same computer as a Lync Server 2013, Front End Enterprise Edition Server or Standard Edition server.
The computer on which you install the tool must have read-only access to the archive share in Lync Server or to a personal folder, where you will save the whiteboard XML content after discovering it using SharePoint 2013 eDiscovery Center if the archive store is Microsoft Exchange 2013.
Tool also requires installation of VCRedist_x64.exe as a prerequisite (available as part of Lync Server installation).
To view the output from the tool, the computer on which you install the tool must have one of the following HTML5-compliant browsers installed:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 9+
- Firefox 10+
- Safari 5+
- Chrome 18+
Installation Instructions
To install the Lync Server 2013 Whiteboard Viewer tool, download WBViewer.msi to the target machine. To install the tool using default settings, run WBViewer.msi. The MSI installs the tool binaries in %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Lync Server 2013\Web Conferencing by default.
