A set of power tools to extend the functionality of Team Explorer Everywhere 2010 with SP1 enabling alert subscriptions, work item templates and finding files in source control.

  • A set of Team Foundation Server power tools targeted for Eclipse developers already using Team Explorer Everywhere 2010 with SP1 to talk to TFS. This release brings the ability to be able to sign up for Team Foundation Server alerts directly from Eclipse, to save common work item details into a work item template for quick creation of new work items and to allow searching of files in source control by file name, wildcard or by the developer who has the file checked out.

Installation Instructions

  • Prerequisites

    You must have already installed Team Explorer Everywhere 2010 with Service Pack 1 in the desired version of Eclipse.

    To install the Team Foundation Server 2010 Power Tools into Eclipse

    1. Open Eclipse.
    2. On the Help menu, click Install New Software.The Install dialog box appears.
    3. Click Add.The Add Site dialog box appears.
    4. In Name, type Local TFS Power Tools archive.
    5. Click Archive.
    6. Specify the location of the archive file and click Open.
    7. Select the downloaded archive file TFSEclipsePowerTools-UpdateSiteArchive-10.1.0.zip.
    8. Click OK.
    9. In the list of features in the Install dialog box, select the check boxes thatcorresponds to the power tool features that you wish to install.
    10. Click Next two times.
    11. Accept the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then click Finish.
    12. Restart Eclipse when prompted.
