The Mobile Client Software Factory offers guidance to help you create Windows Mobile applications that interact with back-end systems over networks that are intermittently available. This Overview of Mobile Enterprise Application Architecture presentation provides a resource for your training needs.

This training session, which includes a PowerPoint presentation with instructor notes and demos, covers enterprise applications and how they can be extended to support the use of mobile devices. It is important to note that mobile clients should not be treated entirely differently than regular desktop or laptop-based smart clients. Bandwidth, connectivity, security, storage and memory considerations are important, but standard architecture principles can be reused when applied in mobility scenarios.
