Windows SharePoint Services Language Template Pack Service Pack 2 (SP2) ensures that Windows SharePoint Services performs with complete functionality when you use a Language Template Pack. This is the first service pack for Windows SharePoint Services Language Template Pack. Service Pack 2 adds support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and for x64-compatible 64-bit processors. Version 2 of this download adds support for the Hindi locale.

Warning: Windows SharePoint Services Language Template Pack SP2 requires Windows SharePoint Services 2003 SP2 for proper functionality. Before installing Windows SharePoint Services Language Template Pack SP2, you should install Windows SharePoint Services SP2.

Warning: Windows SharePoint Services Language Template Pack Service Pack 2 (SP2) requires Windows SharePoint Services SP2 for proper functionality. Before installing Windows SharePoint Services Language Template Pack SP2, you should install Windows SharePoint Services SP2.

Installation instructions
If you have Windows SharePoint Services installed, do one of the following:

  • Use Windows Update (recommended). Windows Update scans your computer and provides you with a tailored selection of updates that apply only to the items on your computer.


  • Install Windows SharePoint Services Language Template Pack SP2. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Download the .exe file by using the button at the top of the page, and then save the file to your hard disk drive.
  2. It is recommended that you quit any programs you are running.
  3. In Windows Explorer, double-click the .exe file that you saved to your hard disk drive, and follow the instructions on the screen.

Note:

If you are updating a Web farm, you should update all Web servers to Windows SharePoint Services Language Template Pack SP2 at the same time. For more information, see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article (875358): You must update all the Web servers in a Web farm that is running Windows SharePoint Services.
