- This download contains an optional update that adds support for pointing devices that use absolute coordinates to connect to any MultiPoint Server 2010 local station. You should consider applying this update under both of the following circumstances:
- You are using pointing devices, such as certain types of touch screens and interactive whiteboards, that use absolute coordinates to report the pointer location on the desktop.
- You want to allow the pointing device to connect to a local station on the Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 system.

Installation Instructions
- To apply this update, you must install the download package using the following steps:
- Switch the computer that is running Windows MultiPoint Server 2010 to maintenance mode by doing the following:
- In MultiPoint Manager, click the System tab.
- Under System Information, click Switch to maintenance mode. The computer restarts and all stations become unavailable.
- After the computer restarts, at any station, press the letter M on the keyboard. The computer then starts in maintenance mode.
Note: The screen to select the mode displays for 10 seconds, and the time remaining to respond to the message displays on the screen. If you do not respond in the displayed time, the computer starts in normal mode and you will need to repeat steps 1a through 1c of this procedure.
- Log on with an administrative account, and then return to this download page.
- Click the Download button at the top of this page, and then do one of the following:
- Click Run to start the installation automatically.
- Click Save to copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. You must accept the license agreement to complete the installation.
- Restart the computer again.
