The SQL Server Management Pack monitors the performance and availability of various components of SQL Server 2000 and 7.0.
This management pack was originally released on November 6, 2003.
The SQL Server Management Pack monitors the performance and availability of various components of SQL Server 2000 and 7.0, including the SQL Server Agent, database health and free space, SQL Server clustering and named instances, local and remote connectivity, security, and SQL Server Replication.
This management pack has been updated since the release of MOM 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and is now supported for use in international-language configurations and on Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
The management pack also provides additional monitoring of SQL Server functionality in the following key areas:

Installation Instructions
To download the module:
- Click on the link to the right, and download the management pack module.
- On the Microsoft Operations Manager server (DCAM), click on the executable to install in a temporary directory.
Importing a Management Pack Module
You can import this management pack module using the Microsoft Operations Manager administrative console and following these steps:
- Open the Microsoft Operations Manager administrative MMC console.
- Expand the Microsoft Operations Manager (Default) node.
- Expand the Rules sub-node.
- Select the Processing Rule Groups sub-node.
- Right click on the Processing Rule Groups sub-node and then select the Import Management Pack option.
Follow the instructions until you have finished importing the management pack module.
