This update applies to the following products:

• Windows SharePoint Services 3.0

This update applies to 32-bit versions of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. If you are using the 64-bit version, do not install this update. Instead, install:

• Infrastructure Update for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (KB951695), 64-bit edition.

The update will install properly if either of the following are true:

• Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is currently installed (Recommended).
• Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is not currently installed.

Supported Windows Installer Version: Windows Installer 3.1 or greater

Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 includes Windows Installer 3.1. Windows Installer 3.1 is also available as a separate download at the following location:

• Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable (v2)
