Quality of Experience: A Practical Approach to Deploying Real-Time Communications |
This document describes the practical step by step approach to planning and piloting Office Communications Server 2007 and real-time communications on enterprise networks.
Many factors contribute to QoE, and certainly the network is a key element. To help measure the QoE of your deployment, Microsoft has released the QoE Monitoring Server. It has a rich set of capabilities, and if used correctly, can significantly improve your ability to measure and maintain QoE in your environment. This paper describes a process that includes an Office Communications Server pilot deployment, planning a usage model, and proceeding with a phased deployment. If you are a system administrator, you can use this paper in conjunction with the documentation for Office Communications Server 2007 to get started.
