Reporting Services Books Online (Updated) includes the following changes from the original version:
- New Security Extension programming reference.
- New design considerations for additional rendering output formats.
- Suggestions sent to Microsoft by customers using the feedback button available in every topic of Reporting Services Books Online.
- Corrections of documentation errors reported after the product was initially released.
To verify that you are viewing the updated version of Reporting Services Books Online, check the version information in the About dialog box which you can open from the Help menu of the Help viewer. The updated version of Reporting Services Books Online is version 8.01.

The Reporting Services Documentation Update requires an existing installation of Reporting Services Books Online.
Installation Instructions
Download RSDocRefresh.msi to install the updated documentation.
To avoid a computer restart after Setup finishes, close all open copies of Reporting Services Books Online before installing the update.
The Setup program will replace the existing product documentation with an updated version of Reporting Services Books Online in the same language. Installing the updated version alongside the existing documentation, or in a different language, is not supported. Only Reporting Services Books Online will be updated; sample reports and applications, the sample database, and Report Manager help are not updated in this release.
You must have administrator permissions on the local computer to install the update.
