Download this sample to work with PowerPoint 2003 presentations directly from Access 2003. This sample accompanies the MSDN article "Working with PowerPoint 2003 Presentations from Access 2003 Using Automation," available from Related Resources.

Create a PowerPoint slide presentation from scratch using Access data. In addition, display and control a slide show from within an Access form. Walk through the solution and explore ways to extend the sample for your own applications.
This article looks at two ways of interaction between Access and PowerPoint. The first sample illustrates how to create a PowerPoint presentation from the data in an Access table using Automation. The second sample shows how to display and manipulate an existing PowerPoint presentation inside of an Access form, also using Automation.

This download works with the following Office applications:

• Microsoft Office 2003 Editions
• Microsoft Office Access 2003
• Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003

1. Download the file by clicking the Download button and saving the file to your hard disk.
2. Double-click the OfficeAccess2PowerPointSample.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

By default, the download extracts files to the following directory:
C:\Office Samples\Working with PowerPoint 2003 Presentations from Access 2003 Using Automation\

To remove the sample files:

• Go to the installation directory and delete all files.

• Go to the location where you saved the download and delete the OfficeAccess2PowerPointSample.exe file.
