The Microsoft VC-1 Encoder SDK - Professional is designed to provide file-based and/or real-time encoding capability to general content creation toolsets or dedicated encoding software applications.
Optimizations and features include:
• Can output VC-1 Elementary Streams for delivery in HD Optical Disc applications
• Performance improvements over the Windows Media FSDK11 for the latest generation of processors from Intel and AMD
• Perceptual quality improvements over the Windows Media FSDK11
• Ability to control all advanced settings programmatically through the API (no registry key settings required)
• Native Hardware Acceleration API support

Installation Instructions
The Microsoft VC-1 Encoder SDK - Professional installation package is delivered as an MSI file: Microsoft VC-1 Encoder SDK - Professional.msi.
To download, click the Download button and choose Save from the download dialog box. Specify a directory on your local computer's hard drive to save the file to.
After download is complete, begin iinstall of the SDK by clicking on the MSI file.
•The installation window will describe the Product to be installed. Click Next.
•If the SDK has been previously installed, you will be prompted to repair or remove the earlier install at this point. If not, you will be taken to the EULA page. To proceed, mark the Checkbox, and click Next.
•The window will prompt for the install directory, default being C:\WMSDK\VC1ProSDK. Click Next.
•Installation is performed. Once over, the install window indicates successful completion, and provides a Finish button to exit the installer.
