The Internet Explorer 8 Language Packs install language specific resource files, allowing users to view the user interface (UI) of Internet Explorer 8 in a different supported language. Individual language packs are available for the following languages: Albanian, Arabic, Assamese, Basque, Bengali (Bangladesh), Bengali (India) Bosnian (Cyrillic), Bosnian (Latin), Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Hong Kong), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Kazakh, Konkani, Korean, Kyrgyz, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay (Brunei Darussalam), Malay (Malaysia), Malayalam, Marathi, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Portugal), Portuguese (Brazil), Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Serbian (Cyrillic), Serbian (Latin), Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Uzbek (Latin) and Vietnamese.
To use these language packs, you must install the matching OS language pack on Windows before proceeding.

- Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008
- The OS Language Pack for the desired language must be installed.
- Windows Internet Explorer 8 must be installed. See the Internet Explorer 8 system requirements page.
Installation Instructions
- Click the Download button for your Language Pack to start the download, or choose a different language from the list of available Language Packs below and click Go.
- Do one of the following:
- To start the installation immediately, click Open.
- To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save
