The Office XP Security Patch: KB822036 offers the highest levels of stability and security available for Microsoft Office XP. This update addresses a flaw in the way Microsoft Office uses Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to check document properties when opening a maliciously crafted document. This flaw could allow arbitrary code to run when a user opened a specially crafted document from an attacker. This update addresses that vulnerability so that files opened using VBA are handled appropriately. The Office XP Security Patch: KB822036 is part of Microsoft’s continued effort to provide the latest product updates to customers.

1. Download the file by clicking the Download button (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.


2. Double-click the OfficeXP-KB822036-Client-ENU.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.


3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
