MessagePack 2003 is a patch to BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 which updates existing message support to the latest SWIFT specification as well as providing some additional messages to extend the range of applicable financial services scenarios.

• Microsoft® BizTalk® Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 Service Release 1 (SR1) is an add-on product built with the latest version of Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002. BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 works in conjunction with Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 to leverage the open standards-based tools and run-time facilities of BizTalk Server to implement support for Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) message formats. BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 includes all the document specifications and components that you need to rapidly develop and deploy applications for processing the full range of financial services-specific transactions.
  
  SWIFT messaging standards (Standards Release Guide and Message Format Validation Rules) are updated on a yearly basis. MessagePack 2003 is a patch to BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 which updates existing message support to the latest SWIFT specification as well as providing some additional messages to extend the range of applicable financial services scenarios.
  
  MessagePack 2003 is a Web-downloadable QFE patch to BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 Service Release 1. BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 Service Release 1 is required in order to use this MessagePack 2003 update.
  
  BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003 has implemented the final 2003 SWIFT Standards Release Guide (SRG) and Message Format Validation Rules (MFVR). Legacy messages that have been removed from SRG 2003 by SWIFT but are still supported in this MessagePack will conform to the most recent SRG in which they were still included (prior to SRG 2003).
  
  BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003 is a patch to BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 and is not a standalone product. Therefore, once installed, product support for the MessagePack 2003 will be covered by existing BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 support agreement(s).

• BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003 is supported on the Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Server, Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Service Pack 4 (SP4) (recommended), Microsoft Windows XP, or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating systems.
  
  BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003 is an update patch to be applied to BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1. You must install BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 (Standard or Enterprise Edition) before applying MessagePack 2003. MessagePack 2003 does not require any additional hardware or software applications other than that required by BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1.

• Before you start the Microsoft® BizTalk® Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003 setup, ensure that your Microsoft Windows® 2000 logon account is a member of the Administrators and BizTalk Server Administrators groups. For more information about Windows 2000 logon accounts, see Windows 2000 Help. The BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003 setup installs a MessagePack 2003 folder under the following directories of the existing BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 installation directory:

  Documentation
  SDK and Samples\WebDAV\DocSpecs\Microsoft
  
  Note: None of the existing BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 items will be modified.
  The setup for BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003 also creates a new schema repository named, FS_MessagePack_2003, in the Distributed Authoring and Versioning (WebDAV) repository of the BizTalk Server.
  
  To install BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003:
  1. Run the file A4FSv1SR1_MessagePack2003_EN.EXE.
  2. On the License Agreement page, click Yes to accept the terms of the license agreement. If you do not accept the terms in the license agreement, you cannot continue with the installation.
  3. A progress bar appears indicating the progress of the installation. Click OK after the installation has completed.
  
  You must use either the BizTalk Messaging Manager or Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) scripts to change the WebDAV repository reference to point to the respective schemas in the newly installed FS_MessagePack_2003 folder.   Note: None of the existing schema references to the BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 schemas will be modified or changed by the BizTalk Accelerator for Financial Services 1.0 SR1 MessagePack 2003 setup.
