This Programmer Reference for Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Server 2007 contains scripts to migrate databases, reports, and Microsoft SharePoint passwords from older versions of Project Portfolio Server to Project Portfolio Server 2007.

The Programmer Reference contains the following:


  • "Migration Scripts" folder – this folder contains scripts to migrate a UMT 3.3 database or Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Server 2006 database to Project Portfolio Server 2007.

  • "Configuration Utility" folder – this folder contains sample code that you can use to generate the 'Portfolio Server Configuration Utility', which is a command line tool that helps you do the following:

    • Migrate reports from older versions of Project Portfolio Server to Project Portfolio Server 2007.

    • Migrate SharePoint passwords from older versions of Project Portfolio Server to Project Portfolio Server 2007.

    • Backup/restore the encryption key used for securing the Microsoft SharePoint server credentials (SharePoint server is used for document collaboration).


  • "PPSI Code Samples" folder – this contains sample code that shows how to use the "Project Portfolio Server Interface (PPSI)". PPSI is a set of read-only Web services to read Project Portfolio Server 2007 data.
