The DFS Namespaces Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager 2007 monitors the health of the DFS Namespace service on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008.

The DFS Namespaces Management Pack monitors servers running Windows Server® 2008, Windows Server 2003 R2, and Windows Server 2003. It can also be configured to monitor the health of DFS Namespaces from client computers running Windows Vista® or Windows® XP. This management pack monitors events that are recorded in the System event log by DFS Namespaces. It also monitors the overall health of DFS Namespaces and alerts you to critical issues.

Installation Instructions

To download the DFS Namespaces Management Pack, use the following procedure:

  1. Click the Download button and download the installable package (called ‘DFS Namespaces Management Pack for Operations Manager 2007.msi’)
  2. Install the package on the System Center Operations Manager server. Clicking the installer will extract the Management Pack and the Management Pack Guide to a temporary directory.
  3. Follow the instructions in the Management Pack Guide to import the Management Pack into System Center Operations Manager 2007 and perform the required post import configuration.
