This guide helps you deploy and use the management pack for System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2007 (VMM) on Microsoft® Operations Manager (MOM) 2005. The VMM Management Pack centrally monitors virtual environments managed by multiple VMM servers, monitoring availability of VMM and the VMM agents on hosts and library servers.
This Management Pack Guide describes the features and requirements of the Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) Management Pack for Microsoft® Operations Manager (MOM) 2005, and provides deployment instructions for the management pack.
The VMM Management Pack is used to centrally monitor virtual environments managed by multiple VMM servers. The management pack monitors the availability of the VMM service and the VMM agents on hosts and library servers.
Note The VMM Management Pack is designed for use with the Microsoft® Virtual Server 2005 Management Pack for MOM 2005, which monitors the health and availability of virtual machine hosts and the virtual machines deployed on them.
