Targeted to systems operators responsible for monitoring system health, AVIcode’s .NET Management Pack (Operations Edition) for Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 provides a consolidated view of all applications featuring simple health status indicators within the MOM 2005 Operator Console.

It also provides quick identification of faulty application components and performance hotspots, as well as manual and automatic routing of alert notifications to the appropriate application support team. Performance hotspots are identified by resource type for monitoring response times. Exception and performance events are consolidated by root cause facilitating quick resolution.

Microsoft Operations Manager 2005

1. Click on the link above, and download the management pack module onto your MOM server.


2. Double click on the Management Pack executable and follow the instructions to unpack the installation files for the .NET Management Pack.


3. Welcome: Click 'Next' to proceed with the installation..


4. License Agreement: Read and accept the license agreement, click 'Next'


5. Customer Information: Enter your user and organization name, and to restrict application access if desired. Enter your user name and your organization name. Select whether anyone other than the user you indicated can access this application. Click 'Next'


6. Destination folder: By default, the files will be unpacked to [drive]:\Program Files\MOM 2005 Management Packs\Avicode .NET MOM 2005 MP 3.0. You may select to unpack the files to a different destination folder. If you wish to unpack the files to a different folder, click the 'Change...' button, and browse to the desired folder. Click 'Next'


7. Ready to Install the Program: Setup now has enough information to unpack the files onto the machine. Click the 'Install' button


8. Installin AVIcode .NET Management Pack: Wait for the files to unpack


9. InstallShield Wizard Completed: After the Installer successfully installs the Instrumentation Pack onto the computer, it will present the “InstallShield Wizard Completed” window. Leave the 'Open the .NET Management Pack Installation folder now' selected so that you can continue with the installation. Click Finish to close the installation wizard.


10. Read the contents of the READ_ME_FIRST.txt file.


11. Open either the InstallationGuide.chm or the printable PDF version (InstallationGuide.pdf). NOTE: Certain security patches prohibit reading .chm files across the network, so please ensure that InstallationGuide.chm is on a local drive before opening it.
