• Microsoft has identified a security issue that could allow an attacker to misrepresent a system action or behavior without the knowledge of the logged-on user.The associated download is not a security update that end users can install directly.Rather, this download is recommended for server administrators only and deploys a workaround that disables Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) renegotiation support on affected systems, to help protect clients connecting to such servers from exploitation using this vulnerability.TLS renegotiation is a component of the Transport Layer Security protocol and may be required by certain applications.Microsoft recommends that customers validate the need for implementing this workaround, and if deemed required, test this workaround carefully for the applicable deployment scenario or scenarios.More information on the risks and benefits of this workaround can be found in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 977377.
