The Mobile Locator for Pocket PC Phone Edition sample application works with Microsoft MapPoint Location Server. Using the sample application, provisioned users can locate themselves and one another and display their locations on their Pocket PC Phone Edition devices.

System Requirements
Operating Systems: Windows Mobile 2003 software for Pocket PCs, Pocket PC Software 2002
- Microsoft Windows® for Pocket PC 2002, Windows Mobile™ 2003 software for Pocket PC 2003, or Windows Mobile 2003, Second Edition.
- 6 megabytes (MB) system memory, including 1 MB of storage space for the application files, and 5 MB of program memory for running MapPoint Mobile Locator.
- Microsoft .NET Compact Framework version 1.0 with Service Pack 2 (SP2). You can download the .NET Compact Framework from the Microsoft Download Center.
- A PC equipped with Microsoft ActiveSync® version 3.6 or later, or removable media capable of transferring files to a Pocket PC.
Installation Instructions
To download and install the Mobile Locator for Pocket PC Phone Edition sample application:
- Click the Download link to start the download
- Do one of the following:
- To extract the sample application immediately, click Open, and then select a folder to which to extract the files.
- To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save, and then double-click Microsoft MapPoint Mobile Locator for Pocket PC V1.0.1.0.en.exe, and unzip it to the folder of your choice.
