The Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Management Pack for Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 provides the capability for Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 to discover Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Application Object Servers. It allows you to monitor availability and view information about batch jobs and tasks, user activity, and AOS events. The Management Pack also allows you to start and stop AOS instances through the Operations Console.

Feature Summary
The Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Management Pack provides the following capabilities.

• View the state of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 AOS instances
• View information about AOS instances such as version and configuration information
• View users connected to AOS instances
• View Event Log Messages for AOS instances
• View batch jobs and batch task information
• Start and stop AOS instances
• Receive alerts when AOS instances stop running

The Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Management Pack for Systems Center Operations Manager 2007 requires a current and valid license for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009.

1. Click on the download link to download the management pack module
2. On the Microsoft Operations Manager server (DCAM), click on the executable to extract the files into a temporary directory

You can import this management pack module using the Microsoft Operations Manager administrative console and following these steps:

1. Open the Microsoft Operations Manager Operator console
2. Click on the Administrator pane at the bottom left corner
3. Expand the Management Packs node in the tree view
4. Click on the Import Management Pack on the “Actions” pane on the right and then browse to the folder where you extracted the MP and then import it.
5. Follow the instructions until you have finished importing the management pack module.
