- This paper provides an overview of how jobs run and the job life cycle on a Windows HPC Server 2008 R2 cluster. The paper describes job submission methods, including use of the HPC Job Manager console, the command line interface, and the scheduler APIs. There is also an overview of job scheduling policies that the cluster administrator can configure to define how resources should be allocated for different job types or user groups.
