Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008

  • Server:

    • Internet Information Services 6 or Internet Information Services 7 (IIS 6 compatibility mode enabled) with ASP.NET 2.0

    • Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team Explorer



    Client:

    • Internet Explorer 6 or above, or Mozilla Firefox 2

Installation Instructions

  • Installing on the Team Foundation Server Application Tier


    • Install Team Explorer 2008.

    • Download and run TeamSystemWebAccess.msi and follow the instructions.

    • During the installation, you can configure Team System Web Access to use Integrated Windows authentication (only available when installing on the Team Foundation Server application tier).



    Installing on a Remote Server

    When Team System Web Access is installed on a remote server, it is not possible to use Integrated Windows authentication, so you will need to use Forms-based authentication. It is recommended to configure the Team System Web Access site to use SSL when using Forms-based authentication.


    • Install IIS 6 (Windows 2003) or IIS 7 (Windows Server 2008) with IIS 6 compatibility mode enabled.

    • Install .NET Framework 2.0 and enable ASP.NET 2.0 on IIS Web service extensions.

    • Install Team Explorer 2008.

    • Download and run TeamSystemWebAccess.msi and follow the instructions.
