  Hardware Requirements:
  • 1.6 GHz or faster processor
  • 1 GB of RAM (1.5 GB if running on a virtual machine)
  • 10 GB of available hard disk space
  • 5400 RPM hard disk drive
  • DirectX 9-capable video card that runs at 1024 x 768 or higher display resolution
  Additional Requirements
  • For Windows Store and Windows Universal app development
    • Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 and development require Windows 8.1 Update or later.
    • Windows Phone 8.0 development require Windows 8.1 Update (x64) or later.
    • For the Windows emulators, Windows 8.1 (x64) Professional edition or higher, and a processor that supports Client Hyper-V and Second Level Address Translation (SLAT)

• Prerequisites
  • Install Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 RTM
  • If you are using a Visual Studio language pack, be sure to install that before installing ASP.NET 5 RC1
  Install Instructions
  1. Close all instances of Visual Studio.
  2. Install Microsoft ASP.NET 5 RC1 using AspNet5.ENU.RC1.exe
  NOTE: There is currently a known issue with the ASP.NET 5 RC installer. If you run the installer from a folder that contains previous versions of the MSI installers for DNVM (DotNetVersionManager-x64.msi or DotNetVersionManager-x86.msi) or the ASP.NET tools for Visual Studio (WebToolsExtensionsVS14.msi or WebToolsExtensionsVWD14.msi), the installer will fail with an error "0x80091007 - The hash value is not correct". To work around this issue, run the installer from a folder that does not contain previous versions of the installer files.
  How to Uninstall
  In the case that you need to roll back to a previous experience the steps are to uninstall the preview components and then reinstall the desired version. To uninstall ASP.NET RC from Add Remove Programs uninstall the following components.

  1. Uninstall Microsoft ASP.NET 5 RC1 from Add Remove Programs
