Revolution R Open 3.2.2 for Revolution R Enterprise 7.5.0 is a free, complete open source platform for statistical analysis and data science. Revolution R Open is an enhanced distribution of R 3.2.2. and supports a variety of big data statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learning capabilities.

Revolution R Open is an enhanced distribution of open source R, and supports the packages provided by Revolution R Enterprise for scalable, distributed R solutions.
  
  This download contains the installer for the current release of Revolution R Open for 64-bit Windows (RRO-3.2.2-for-RRE-7.5.0).
  
  When you install Revolution R Open, you can easily build R packages using your own custom code, or use additional packages that you download from CRAN.
  
  Revolution R Open is also a prerequisite for installing Revolution R Enterprise. Although the enterprise tools are not required for basic R package development, by installing Revolution R Enterprise you can use R packages that have been enhanced to use parallel processing and run in a scalable environment.
  
  You can also use both Revolution R Open and Revolution R Enterprise to connect to an instance of SQL Server 2016 CTP3 that has enabled the Advanced Analytic Extensions, and execute your R packages in SQL Server. This provides far greater memory for your R solutions as well as the convenience of in-database analytics.

  • Disk space (local drive only; network drive not supported): 600 MB
  • Memory: 4GB of RAM is recommended
  
  This download and Revolution R Enterprise are both required for using SQL Server R Services.

• 1. Click Download and locally save the installer for Revolution R Open 3.2.2 for Revolution R Enterprise 7.5.0.
  2. When download is complete, double-click the file, RRO-3.2.2-for-RRE-7.5.0-Windows.exe, and follow-the on-screen prompts. By default, the installer installs both the R runtime and the open source components of Revolution R Enterprise.
  3. Optionally, click this link to immediately begin downloading the modified GPL/LGPL \source code (rre-gpl-src.7.4.1.tar.gz - 94.2MB). This is made available in compliance with the GNU General Public License, but is not required to install or use Revolution R Open.
  4. After installation of RRO is complete, download and install Revolution R Enterprise 7.5.0.
  5. To enable the use of SQL Server R Services you must also enable the feature, Advanced Analytics Extensions in SQL Server 2016 CTP3. For more information, see the setup instructions in Books Online.
  6. When all desired components have been installed, run the post-installation configuration script, provided on the RRE download page and in SQL Server2016 CTP3 Books Online.
