Hotfix for Data Warehouse bug in Service Manager 2012 R2 UR5

• Symptoms
  After Update Rollup 5 for Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager (SM) is installed, you may experience the following issue:
  
  If your Data Warehouse server does not use Month-Date-Year time format, then an event “The conversion of a nvarchar data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value” is logged in your Service Manager Data Warehouse, and the Extract job no longer runs.
  Resolution (Hotfix Information)
  A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

• Before you apply this hotfix, you must have the following update rollup installed.
  
  Description of Update Rollup 5 for System Center 2012 R2 Service Manager

• Note: You cannot uninstall this patch, once it is installed.
  
  Before you apply this update, follow these steps:
  1. Exit all Service Manager-related applications before you apply this update. For example, exit the Service Manager Console, the Self-Service Portal links, and the authoring tool.
  2. Make sure that the Data Warehouse Server has successfully synchronized with the Management Server at least one time.
  3. Make sure that the update is installed on the Service Manager 2012 R2 Data Warehouse Server, which is patched with Update Rollup 5.
  
  To install this update, follow these steps:
  1. Download the update to a target folder. Open the target folder, and then right-click on “SCSM2012R2_OD_KB3045893_AMD64_7.5.3079.344.exe” file.
  2. Click Run as administrator.
  3. Accept the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then follow the steps in the installation wizard.
