Resolves an issue with the Unified Write Filter (UWF)
This KB has been superseded by KB3107088.
This KB resolves a handle leak issue in uwfwmi.dll, when UWF WMI APIs are called periodically (e.g. to check the UWF overlay consumption) and the following error message is shown:
“Windows Management Instrumentation has stopped WMIPRVSE.EXE because a quota reached a warning value. Quota: HandleCount, Value: 4257, Maximum value: 4096, WMIPRVSE PID: 3716, Providers hosted in this process: %SystemRoot%\system32\wbem\uwfwmi.dll"

This update must be installed by one of the following options on a Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry image:
A) Executing the appropriate msu file
- 32bit Windows8.1-KB2996822-x86.msu
- 64bit Windows8.1-KB2996822-x64.msu
OR
B) Installing the cab file via the command line with administrator privileges via.
"DISM /online /add-package /packagepath:<Location>\<filename.cab>"
