Legacy Update: Get back online, activate, and install updates on your legacy Windows PC

For HIPAA documents with equivalent subloops and/or equivalent segments (such as 837 claim documents) the EDI engine in BizTalk Server 2006 R2 would incorrectly generate validation errors when these loops and/or segments were not in the same order as they were in the schema. The HIPAA standard allows equivalent subloops and segments to appear in any order and therefore errors should not be generated in these situations. This fix provides updated HIPAA schemas and modifications to the EDI engine to address this issue.

To run Microsoft® BizTalk® Server 2006 R2 on 32-bit x86 platforms, you need:
• Personal computer with an Intel Pentium-compatible CPU that is:
– 1 GHz or faster for single processors; 900 MHz or faster for double processors; or 700 MHz or
faster for quad processors
• Windows® XP Professional with Service Pack 2, Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with Service
Pack 4 or above, or Microsoft Windows Server® 2003 R2

To run Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 on x64 platforms, you need:
• AMD Opteron (AMD64), Intel Xeon (EM64T), or compatible 1.7 GHz or faster processor recommended
for BizTalk Server 2006 R2
• 450 MHz or faster Intel Pentium-compatible CPU for Host Integration Server
• 1 GB of RAM or more recommended
• 6 GB of available hard-disk space (including approximately 3 GB for program files and all
dependencies in maximum configuration)
• CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
• Super VGA monitor (800 x 600) or higher-resolution monitor with 256 colors
• Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

To use BizTalk Server 2006 R2, you need:
• Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1
• Microsoft Office Excel® 2003 and InfoPath® 2003 with Service Pack 2
• Microsoft Visual Studio® 2005 with Microsoft Visual C#® .NET
• Microsoft SQL ServerTM 2005 or SQL Server 2000 with Service Pack 4
• SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services or SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services with
Service Pack 4

This hotfix includes some code fixes as well as a new set of HIPAA schemas. After you install this hotfix, the updated HIPAA schemas called MicrosoftEdiXSDTemplatesKb939080.exe will be copied to the following folder:

Drive:\Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006\XSD_Schema\EDI

If you have made custom changes to your schemas, please make sure you make a backup copy of your custom schemas before running the MicrosoftEdiXSDTemplatesKb939080.exe. Installing this exe will overwrite your old schemas on the directory mentioned above.
