- A workshop from Microsoft provides information about accessibility and accessible technology to help teachers find accessibility technology options for Windows for students with disabilities and special needs who are using computers. Microsoft supports the personalized learning vision by providing technology that is accessible to every student—regardless of ability. For educators new to accessibility and working with students with disabilities, accessibility can seem overwhelming. To help educators teach students with all types of disabilities, you will find specific information about each type of impairment or disability and accessible technology solutions in Windows, Office, and Internet Explorer to help a student use a computer for learning. These slides are designed as a workshop, to accompany Accessibility: A Guide for Educators (downloadable at www.microsoft.com/education/enable/).
