  • The Cross Platform Agent may not discover soft partitions on Solaris systems. Therefore, the disk provider may be unloaded, and the Cross Platform Agent may stop collecting information from the system disks.
  • The Cross Platform Agent may not restart after the AIX server reboots.

The latest versions of all the Operations Manager 2007 R2 Unix/Linux agents are included in this update.

Installation Instructions

Downloading the MSI

To download the update

  1. Click on the download button to the right of the appropriate file for your Operations Manager 2007 R2 server system, and download the MSI
  • SystemCenterOperationsManager2007-R2-KB973583-X86-ENU.MSI for 32 bit servers
  • SystemCenterOperationsManager2007-R2-KB973583-X64-ENU.MSI for 64 bit servers
  • On the System Center Operations Manager 2007 Server, run the MSI to install the update

    • Importing the SLES 11 Management Pack

    You can import this management pack using the System Center Operations Manager 2007 Console and following these steps :

    1. Open the System Center Operations Manager console.
    2. In the Administration Space, right click on the Management Packs Node and choose the Import Management Packs option
    3. Click on Add and choose the Add from Disk option
    4. Navigate to the \Program Files\System Center Management Packs folder
    5. Choose the Microsoft.Linux.SLES.11.mp file
    6. Click on the Open button
    7. Click on the Install button
    8. When the Management Pack import completes, click on the Close button
