Guidelines for migrating between Active Directory domains and for migrating from Windows NT 4 to Active Directory
This guide explains how to migrate user, group, and computer objects to an Active Directory domain. It includes user interface, command line, and scripting procedures for migrating from Windows NT 4 to an Active Directory domain, guidelines for migrating from an Active Directory domain to another Active Directory domain in the same forest (intraforest migration) or in a different forest (interforest migration). For an interforest migration, the guide explains how to migrate while using SID history and without using SID history.
