The File Based Write Filter Provider feature provides access to the Write Filter API for the File-Based Write Filter (FBWF) through the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) layer. The goal of the feature is to expose the full functionality of the File Based Write Filter to all .NET languages as well as to the Windows Scripting Host. Furthermore, the provider enables remote management of the File Based Write Filter.
