• Microsoft .NET Framework: The Help viewer used by Books Online requires the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0. Download one of the following versions of the .NET Framework 2.0:
  • .NET Framework for x86
  • .NET Framework for x64
  • .NET Framework for ia64


• Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1


• Windows Installer: Windows Installer 3.0 is required to install SQL Server 2005 Books Online. Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 and Windows XP Service Pack 2 both include Windows Installer 3.0. For all other operating systems, you must first download and install Windows Installer 3.0.

1. To download the Books Online, begin by installing .NET Framework 2.0. Download one of the versions from the System Requirements section.


2. Click SSCE31BOL-<language>.msi from the Files In This Download section.


3. Do one of the following:

• To start the installation immediately, click Run.


• To save the download to your computer for installation later, click Save.


• To cancel the installation, click Cancel.
