Legacy Update: Get back online, activate, and install updates on your legacy Windows PC

Presence functionality is easily integrated into a smart client application using the Communicator Web Access AJAX service and Presence Controls built especially for use with this service. This demonstration shows how you can:

• Build a custom dialog for the user to enter their password and authenticate with the CWA AJAX Service
• Add the PersonaAJAX control, a single “gum drop” presence control that provides presence information and a context menu
• Add the PersonaPanelAJAX control to display a presence-enabled list of contacts

This download includes a fully functional sample application with source code, Hands on Lab, and supporting documentation. The sample application and Hands on Lab are provided in both C# and Visual Basic .NET.

To install this download:

1. Download the file by clicking the Download button (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.
2. Double-click the program file on your hard disk to begin installation.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

1. On the Start menu, point to Settings and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. In the list of currently installed programs, select Microsoft Presence Sample for Smart Clients Using Office Communicator Web Access AJAX Services and then click Remove or Add/Remove. If a dialog box appears, follow the instructions to remove the program.
4. Click Yes or OK to confirm that you want to remove the program.
