Legacy Update: Get back online, activate, and install updates on your legacy Windows PC

This update fully supports the French spelling reform with a new spelling checker for French-language documents when using Microsoft Office Project 2003.

This update also modifies the auto-correct list (ACL) to comply with the spelling reform.

Important: For complete Project 2003 functionality when using the Project 2003 Multilingual User Interface Pack, you will need to install both this download and the Update for Project 2003 Multilingual User Interface Pack: French Spelling Checker and Thesaurus (KB892262)

If you have Microsoft Office Project 2003, do one of the following:

• Use Office Update on the Office Online Web site (recommended). Office Update automatically detects Office and prompts you to install updates and service packs that bring Office programs up-to-date.



• Install Update for Project 2003 French Spelling Checker (KB892262). To do this, follow these steps:

1. Download the .exe file by clicking on the Download button at the top of the page, and then save the file to your hard disk drive.
   • project2003-kb892262-fullfile-enu.exe: You might need to provide the installation source during patch installation if you have previously updated your product.
2. It is recommended that you quit any programs you are running.


3. In Windows Explorer, double-click the .exe file that you saved to your hard disk drive, and follow the instructions on the screen.

You can double-click the executable package to begin installation, or extract the patch files (MSP files) by using a command line.
