The Microsoft Office 2010 Primary Interop Assemblies Bootstrapper Installer adds the option Microsoft Office 2010 Primary Interop Assemblies to the Prerequisites Dialog Box in Visual Studio 2010 or Visual Studio 2008. Then when you deploy with ClickOnce or Windows Installer, you can select this option to deploy the Microsoft Office 2010 PIAs to end-user computers.

• The Microsoft Office 2010 Primary Interop Assemblies Bootstrapper Installer contains the following:
  • The package manifest and product manifest for the Microsoft Office 2010 primary interop assemblies bootstrapper.
  • The software license terms for the primary interop assemblies.
  • The software license terms for the bootstrapper installer.
  • ComponentCheck.exe, which determines if the PIAs are already installed. If any of the primary interop assemblies are already installed, this bootstrapper package exits and does not install any additional PIAs.
  After you select the Microsoft Office 2010 primary interop assemblies option in the Prerequisites Dialog Box, the Setup program downloads and installs the PIAs from the vendor’s website. Specifically, the redistributable contains the PIAs for the following products.
  • Microsoft Office Access 2010
  • Microsoft Office Excel 2010
  • Microsoft Office InfoPath 2010
  • Microsoft Office Outlook 2010
  • Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010
  • Microsoft Office Project 2010
  • Microsoft Office Publisher 2010
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2010
  • Microsoft Office Visio 2010
  • Microsoft Office Word 2010
  The redistributable package contains supplementary PIAs, which are associated with many of these products.

  2. Copy the folder and files to the bootstrapper packages directory.
  • For Visual Studio 2010, copy the folder and files to the \Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages directory.
  • For Visual Studio 2008, copy the folder and files to the \Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Bootstrapper\Packages directory.
