- Visual C++ 6.0 or Visual Studio .NET
Installation Instructions
- Click the Download link to start the download, or choose a different language from the drop-down list and click Go.
- Do one of the following:
- To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.
- To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.
A directory named MMSTFX is created in the destination directory that you specified for the download.
To try out the new sample transitions and effects
- Create the AddOnTFX directory in Movie Maker's Shared install directory (C:\Program files\Movie Maker\Shared\AddOnTFX), and then copy the XML files from the XML directory in this sample (C:\MMSTFX\XML\*.xml) to the directory you created.
- Register the enclosed DLL, MMSTFX.dll, in the sample's Bin directory by typing regsvr32 c:\MMSTFX\Bin\MMSTFX.dll from the command line.
- Run Movie Maker and look for the new transitions and effects.
When compiling this sample be sure to add the DXMedia SDK's include directory (C:\DXMedia\Include) to your Visual C++ include path.
